Mark Reisman, M.D., F.A.C.C. -

Director, Swedish Cardiovascular Research and Catheterization Lab - Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute at Swedish Medical Center/First Hill Campus (Seattle)

Mark Reisman, M.D., is an interventional cardiologist with the Swedish Heart Institute (SHI). He is director of the medical center’s Cardiovascular Research program and Cardiac Catheterization Lab on Swedish’s First Hill Campus.

Dr. Reisman is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He has been on the staff at Swedish since 1995.

Dr. Mark Reisman

Dr. Reisman has been the site principal investigator on more than 40 clinical trials. His areas of expertise include rotational atherectomy and the treatment of structural heart disease (atrial septal defect (ASD) and patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure). Dr. Reisman has authored numerous journal articles, book chapters and the definitive book on rotational atherectomy (“Guide to Rotational Atherectomy,” 1997, Physicians’ Press). He routinely speaks at national and international conferences. He has been a consultant and device/procedure proctor for numerous medical corporations.

Dr. Reisman earned his bachelor’s degree from State University of New York at Stonybrook and his medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine’s New York State Program. Dr. Reisman then did a one-year internship in internal medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, followed by a two-year residency in internal medicine and a two-year fellowship in cardiology at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital in New York, NY He completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology from U.C.S.D. Medical Center in San Diego, California.

Dr. Reisman has been a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of Washington since 1995. He is co-chairman of the Clinical Outcomes Assessment Program of Washington State.

 

William A. Gray, M.D., F.A.C.C. -

Director, Endovascular Intervention, Associate Chief Professor - Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy - Columbia Hospital - Columbia University (New York)

William A. Gray, MD, is the Director of Endovascular Services at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation® and the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapy at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC). He also is Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at CUMC. Previously, Dr. Gray was the Director of Endovascular Care at the Swedish Heart Institute in Seattle, WA, and the Vice-Chair of Cardiology at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. He was also a founding member of the Heart Hospital of New Mexico.

 

Dr. William Gray

Dr. Gray specializes in coronary and peripheral arterial disease diagnosis and treatment with a special interest in new, non-surgical modalities for stroke prevention, the non-surgical treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm, and research into preventing the reoccurrence of disease following successful angioplasty or stenting. He is also a journal reviewer for the Journal of the American Medical Association and the Annals of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Gray received his medical degree from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He also completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, as well as a clinical/research fellowship in cardiology and an interventional fellowship in cardiology, at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI.

Les Mace - Senior Medical Device Executive

Les Mace is a senior executive with a broad background in general management, strategic business planning, market research, technology assessment, product/market development, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, clinical trial coordination and manufacturing operations. For twelve years he was Vice-President of R&D at Novametrix Medical Systems, Inc. (Respironics) where he was responsible for the general and technical management of the corporate R& D division involved with the development of new non-invasive, spectroscopy sensors for analysis of respired gases and tissue blood gases. Prior to that, Mr. Mace served in various roles including co-founder and VP of product development, VP of Operations and Senior Engineer at a number of medical device companies within patient ventilation monitoring, cardiovascular monitoring and hemodialysis markets. He received his BEE and MS from Ohio State University, and has done additional post-graduate work at the University of Washington. He has 10 issued patents.
